He Is In The Waiting!

“Wait my daughter. You have no idea what miracles I have in store. Don’t give up. My plans are unfolding. Trust my daughter. I have your best interest at heart.” When God speaks to me sometimes it’s so hard to believe that His plans are truly better. I never imagined I would be where I am now. In fact I figured by now I would be married with kids and serving Jesus overseas. By now I should’ve finished my degree and be teaching. I always wanted to do big things for God and be used by Him. Instead He brought me to Spokane, Washington and I work at a store. Not at all what I imagined as a 23 year old. I think I just have high expectations and when people or I do not meet them I just feel disappointed. I meet someone and think they are great but then they let me down also. Being patient is not easy. However the other day I was swinging at the park and the Lord began to reveal to me that I have been putting people on a pedestal and I care way too much what they think of me. Wanting to have someone to love and cherish me for me no matter my past is not a bad thing. But putting that before God is not healthy. Just because a lot of my friends are married or engaged it doesn’t mean that I am less important to God or that I am being overlooked. God has told me that He is saving me for something better. For someone who will not only love me as I am but will embrace my past. Someone who will serve God and His people beside me. Someone who puts Jesus first-ALWAYS. We are all on a journey and we are all on different stages of life but the reality is is that God is in the Waiting. It is in the Waiting that growth happens. Just pursue Jesus. Look to Christ. Give your pain to Jesus. His plans for your life are still unfolding and are more incredible than you can imagine. “Take courage my heart, stay steadfast my soul, He’s in the Waiting! Hold on to your hope watch your triumph unfold He’s never failing He’s never failing!”
