His Peace In The Midst Of The Storm

One of my favorite songs at this moment is Lauren Daigle’s “Peace Be Still.” In it, she sings, “Peace still says the word and I will step my feet into the sea till I’m dancing in the deep. Peace be still You are here so it is well…I will trust the voice that speaks.” Despite every storm that has come against me My Heavenly Father always had His hand on my life. However, I’ve always been the type of person who when something went wrong or when I made mistakes I would worry and allow constant fear to rule my life. Last Sunday I sang that song at church and I couldn’t help but tear up because the Lord was speaking to me at that exact moment. I am a work in progress and He is not finished with me yet. Also, I have allowed the enemy’s voice to become louder than my Savior’s voice. Now I listen to this song several times a day and it helps me to remember that my Waymaker made a way and He still tells the waves and the wind to be still and they obey. He is still in control. He is in control and even though things in my mind may not be going well all is truly well because He is Emmanuel, God with us. He is still with me. He is in control of my destiny. Next time the enemy comes with his accusations and fears I can let him know that I believe in the God who calms storms!
