A Childhood Dream
Ever since I was a little girl, I dreamed of being a wife and a mother. It was the deepest longing of my heart, a prayer I whispered to God over and over again. As the years passed, I watched friends all around me step into those roles—falling in love, getting married, having babies. While I was genuinely happy for them, my heart quietly ached. I often wondered when it would be my turn. Did God hear my prayers at all?
Seasons of Waiting
There were seasons when the waiting felt endless. Disappointment often clouded my hope. I nearly gave up on the dream, convincing myself that maybe it just wasn’t meant for me. But God has a way of working in unseen places. What felt like silence was really preparation. What I thought was delay was actually His mercy, writing a story far better than the one I imagined.
The Gift of Love
At just the right time, Mario came into my life. He wasn’t just another passing chapter—he stayed. He became the first person who truly saw me for who I was and loved me completely. His presence in my life was an answer to prayers I had long stopped praying. It was a reminder that God never forgets the cries of our hearts.

Living the Answer
Now, three years into marriage and with two sweet little boys filling our home, I find myself living in what I once only hoped for. The late-night feedings, toy cars scattered across the floor, the sound of giggles echoing through the house, and the quiet moments sitting beside my husband after our boys are asleep—all of it is holy ground. These aren’t just ordinary days; they are the answered prayers of a little girl who longed for this life.

Trusting God’s Timing
In living the answer, I am reminded of this truth: God’s timing is always perfect. He is never too late, never too early. He knows the desires He places in our hearts, and He knows how to fulfill them in ways that reflect His goodness and love.
A Word for Those Waiting
If you are in a season of waiting—whether for marriage, children, healing, or another prayer—you are not forgotten. The same God who heard me hears you. The same God who was faithful to me will be faithful to you. Even in the silence, He is working. Even in the waiting, He is preparing. One day, you too may look around and realize: I am living in the answer. When that day comes, may your heart be filled with awe at the goodness of God, who not only hears but answers.
Embracing the Journey
Waiting can be a difficult journey. It often feels like we are stuck in a holding pattern, longing for something more. But what if we viewed this time as an opportunity? An opportunity to grow, to deepen our faith, and to strengthen our relationship with God. Each moment spent waiting can be filled with purpose.
Finding Joy in the Wait
During these waiting seasons, I learned to find joy in the little things. I began to appreciate the beauty of each day, even when it felt mundane. I started journaling my thoughts and prayers, capturing the moments of grace that often go unnoticed. I found that gratitude transformed my perspective. Instead of focusing on what I lacked, I began to celebrate what I had.
The Power of Community
Sharing my journey with others was another vital aspect of my waiting period. I found strength in community. I connected with women who were also waiting for their dreams to unfold. Together, we prayed, encouraged, and uplifted one another. There is incredible power in shared stories. When we come together, we remind each other that we are not alone in our struggles.
A Closing Prayer
Lord, You know the desires of our hearts before we even speak them. For those of us waiting—waiting for marriage, children, healing, or answers to prayers—remind us that Your timing is perfect. Give us patience in the seasons of waiting, courage in the moments of doubt, and faith to trust that You are always at work behind the scenes. Open our eyes to see Your goodness in the small, quiet moments. Let us recognize Your faithfulness when the answer comes, and help us to live fully in the blessings You have already given. May our hearts overflow with gratitude, hope, and awe, knowing that You hear us, You see us, and You answer according to Your perfect plan. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
In His Glory,
Oksana Nicole
