“When God puts a dream in your heart, you can guarantee He has a purpose for it.” –Nicole Sniff from Just Homemaking
Hello Dear Crownies!
Have you ever had a dream in your heart so big that you knew only God could have put it inside of you? I do not know about you but sometimes it can be scary. It can be unreal. It can be hard to put that dream into action. Especially if it is from God. But God knows us better than we know ourselves. He gives us dreams and visions because He believes in us. He trusts us to carry out the mission He assigned for us to grow His Kingdom. All we have to do is give Him our yes.
What is a dream? According to the Merriam-Webster dictionary, one definition of a dream is, “Something that fully satisfies a wish.” The word that stood out to me in that definition is FULLY. The Oxford Dictionary describes fully as “completely or entirely; to the furthest extent.” Has God ever fulfilled YOUR dreams to” the furthest extent”? Have you ever allowed yourself to give God your dreams completely? After all, He is the author of our dreams, our visions, our biggest hopes!
For those of you who do not know, I am a huge Disney fan and one of my all-time favorite movies is “The Lizzie McGuire Movie!” In it, Lizzie McGuire goes to Rome and gets mistaken for a famous singer. She meets the famous singer and they end up singing together! The song they sing together is called “What Dreams Are Made Of!” Part of the lyrics are “Yesterday my life was duller. Now everything’s technicolor. Hey now, hey now, this is what dreams are
made of!” When I think about those lyrics it makes me realize how my life was before truly knowing God, dull, verses when I truly found freedom in Jesus. Life did become technicolor and so much brighter! Once I gave God my desires and my dreams, I began to see that HIS dreams are so much better than mine! I encourage you to give God your dreams and watch Him turn them into something you could never imagine! THIS IS WHAT DREAMS ARE MADE OF!
For His Glory,
Oksana Nicole
