I AM BACK!

Hello Dear Crownies! For those of you who are new, back in 2017 I felt a call from the Lord to start writing a blog, and so “Out of Ashes” was born. My blog mainly consisted of what was on my heart and what I felt like the Lord wanted me to write. However, my posts were random and inconsistent. I also took a big gap from writing. I felt an urge in my spirit to pick up my pen so to speak and start writing on my blog again. Then a few weeks later, my friend S’ala reached out to me and felt in her heart to help me rebrand my blog! I am pleased to announce that “Crown and Ashes” will not only be a blog but a business! Thank you Jesus!!

“Crown and Ashes” comes from Isaiah 61:3 “and provide for those who grieve in Zion to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair…” (NIV) Crown and Ashes exists for the glory of God! In life, we have all gone through trials, and we have all made mistakes. BUT GOD, in His great love and mercy picks us up, reminds us that nothing is too broken or shameful to forgive, and crowns our ashes! He sent Jesus to die for our sins and for our shame! That is HOW MUCH He loves us!

At Crown and Ashes, our mission is to help people see their beauty and purpose despite their sins, their pasts, mistakes, and their own “ashes”, through the love and grace of God! Through authentic, raw storytelling as well as empathetic support, our prayer and hope is that others will begin to rise from their own ashes and wear the crown of His glory. In doing so, then they can help others rise from ashes, creating a cycle of hope and joy that is only found in Jesus!
